I already told you about the 52 Weeks Canes Group on Facebook.
So here, again, I'm one of the volunteer for April Month Landscape Cane. So I created a cane with some of the canes we made last year.
For now, you will see only the final result of my cane. As I will post the tutorial later for the group on FB. Be patient until April 16th ;-)

Women Face Cane Story

2/2/2015

Sometimes making a cane, (or like in this story) making several canes from one, takes me months.

End of November, I started to prepare the parts for a women face cane. Lips/Eyes/cheeks/nose. I had to stop there waiting for a flesh clay order to arrive.
In December, I continued the face, packing the flesh around the parts to finish the face.  Reduce it to a face cane without hair.
It was resting since then, waiting to find ideas for the hair options.
I knew January month was a Face cane month in our 52 canes Projects group on Facebook, so I was waiting for those ideas.

Today February 2nd. I created hair style on my face cane.
A special Thank you to Dawn Gray who came with a wonderful tutorial about it ;-)
I still need to make the backgrounds for most of them...it's another story...later.

Blue Face Cane

I was looking my daughters old drawings the other day.
And this face looked at me, and was just saying ...."try".
Picture
I had to try!
First I didn't want to copy exactly my daughter design, so I reproduced it on a piece of paper the size I wanted to make my cane. After, I realized I was out of stock of white and black ;-(....
so I decided to use different shade of blues.
Don't be surprise it's a Blue Face. ;-)
It's still a Work in Progress... I need to reduce it, add some hairs, or other background.
The story will continue another day ;-)
I'm into faces...definitely ;-),

Hello, It's Thursday. Thurday in our FB cane Group is the day of the new cane. This Week #3 of 2015 is my turn.
Are you ready for the .... Man face. The little story behind it, is I found a picture on internet thinking it was a polymer cane, I looked for tutorial online, and ...nothing...so here is my Man face cane, and at the same time my very own Man Face Cane Tutorial.

2015 is here...and new work to come!
Canes are still on my mind...with different ideas.

Here my 1st cane of the year in pictures.
I followed an online free tutorial, http://sofa-polymerclay.ru/мастер-класс-овечка/.

The great coincidence is that 2015 is the year of the sheep ;-)
Now I need to do something with it!

HAppy New Year 2015

I wish you a wonderful year 2015.

For the occasion, I made a collage of all my 2014 cane work. It's a perfect way for me to realize my improvement during the year.

The 52 Weeks Canes Project Group on Facebook was my best decision in 2014. It helps me creating, improving, making virtual friends, everything wrapped in a friendly, supporting, no judging, amazing Group of Clay Artist. Love Love Love...
and the best is that we are still doing it in 2015 ;-)

I'm a member of 52 Weekly canes Project on FB.
Rian started this group in January 2014, it's so fabulous, we decided to continue the group in 2015, Rian did a survey about the Monthly Theme Challenge we wanted to work on, the canes this time will be made by some volunteers members, instead of Rian alone. She is still the administrator.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/52weeklycanes/

I'm one of the Five volunteers to start January 2015 with Face Canes Challenge.

We are following tutorial found on Internet, or create our own tutorial.

I'm in charge of week #3, January 15. And for this challenge I created a Man Face Cane, I couldn't find any tutorial online. So created one. As today, November 12, I think I'm the first one with a man face cane tutorial.

Because this is for the 3rd week of January Challenge....I will release the tutorial at this time...

.....To be continued in January.....
